Welcome To The 90s

Our big Senior Function was last week and, of course, the theme was 90s grunge! Which just sounds fun, right? Well unfortunately, I really don't remember the 90s. I was nine when they ended, so I missed out on all the scrunchies, floral dresses, MC Hammer pants (which my aunt apparently owned). So it was off to the good old ARC, where of course I found a really sweet I ♥ MOM shirt along with overalls and some good ol' white tennis shoes. And you can't forget the very stylish scrunchies! And off it was with all the Pi Phi's.....

For I Just Love Pi Beta Phi!

Despite the years of swearing up and down that I would never become a sorority girl, my opinions of Greek Life has changed! I am now an official member (well, almost) of Pi Beta Phi. Over the passed few weeks, I have realized that deciding to rush for a sorority and choosing Pi Phi was by far the best decision of my life. I have some of the best friends you could ever ask for and I always have something to do! Between functions and parties, dinner and meetings, I am always surrounded by people I love! So my advice for future college freshman: RUSH. There's tons of diversity in all the chapters. You will fit in somewhere, I promise :)

So, on that note, I feel the need to thank my amazing Aunt Kathy as well as Emily for convincing me to make the decision! My parents for being so supportive! And of course, my amazing Pi Phi girls :)

The Hawaii Diet. Ready, Set, Go!

My dad came in today to tell me for Spring Break we're off to Hawaii! So of course that would mean I have exactly 55 days to get in Bikini shape! Today would mark the first day of my Hawaii diet, which does not consist of any form of getting "lei'ed" as my best friend's boyfriend quickly pointed out to me.  I have set a goal to lose 13 pounds by the vacation so wish me luck! I plan on working out 4 days a week and attempting to eat healthy dorm food (ha!). But i will do my best!

Here's just a little preview of my future (which i plan on bragging about till then and probably a while after):

The Tag "Spoiler Alert" Should be Mandated by Law

I tend to be pretty nosy, which explains exactly why I love overly dramatic shows like The Bachelor.  So of course I loved the big Rozlyn scandal on last weeks show.  For those of you who haven't seen it, they basically kicked her off the show for having an "inappropriate relationship" with a staff member.  Whatever inappropriate relationship means.  So having a month off for Winter Break, of course I have way too much time on my hands and decided to do a little googling.  I wanted to know exactly what happened.  Well, lucky me, I found a website made by some guy named Reality Steve.  He states that he has sources on the show and explains the whole scandal and exactly what happens.  And in the midst of explaining the situation, he also manages to reveal the final two, the girl Jake picks in the end, and who gets kicked off the show in the middle of next week with the "I think its best if you leave right now" line. Before I knew it the entire season.... ruined. Awesome. Thank you, Reality Steve, whoever you are!

Puppy Love

We all know those girls who carry around their little teacup poodles and rat/dogs with their little matching dresses, fancy labeled dog purses, and God knows what else these women come up with. We've all seen it and we've all made fun of them. Never will I take my puppy love to this extreme, however, I do consider my two dogs my little babies and I love them very much.  So i decided to create a post bragging about my two little bundles of joy.

My two puppies, Carly and Jake are Puggles: a mix of beagle and pug.  Carly Jo looks more like a pug while Jake looks more like a Beagle.  These two dogs have been the loves of my life for the last four years and I don't know what I'd do without them! These dogs are definitely spoiled! Although not quite to the sundresses and dog carrier extreme.  I love my babies :)
